Putin “Ready To Negotiate” | China Defends Ukraine Stand | Russia’s Bakhmut Offensive Slowing Down?

Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that his country is ready to negotiate with all parties involved in the war in Ukraine. Putin also said that he is “100 percent” confident that his forces would destroy the Patriot defence systems. Meanwhile, the death toll due to Russian shelling in Kherson has risen to 16 people on December 25. The Kherson governor has also issued an appeal for blood donation from local residents. Zelensky delivered a message on Christmas eve, urging his citizens to show courage. Ukraine’s military claims that it killed over 620 Russian troops and destroyed several military equipment in the last 24 hours. US-based think-tank ISW reported that Russia’s offensive in the Bakhmut direction is slowing down. Wang Yi has defended Beijing’s stance on the war and suggested that it would deepen ties with Russia in 2023. China has refused to condemn the invasion of Ukraine and join others in imposing sanctions on Russia.
