Tehran claims to have built a hypersonic ballistic missile, according to reports that cited Iran’s powerful Revolutionary Guards. The commander of IRGC’s aerospace unit, General Amir Ali Hajizadeh, reportedly said that the missile is capable of breaching all defence systems. The IRGC commander was quoted as having said that the missile’s capabilities would make it “unstoppable” The Iranian general said that the weapon represents “a big generational leap in the field of missiles.” The claim comes amid tensions between Iran and the West over Tehran’s supply of drones to Russia.
