Olaf Scholz is in Washington for his first trip as Germany’s Chancellor. In his meeting with US President Joe Biden, Scholz is keen to present a common front on the Ukraine crisis and keep relations smooth – Germany has just taken over the G7 presidency. In the runup to the meeting, Scholz said that Germany is the strongest economic supporter of Ukraine.
