At least 18 people have now been confirmed dead as emergency workers continue to clear rubble at the Kremenchuk shopping center that was targeted by a Russian airstrike, said Dmytro Lunin, governor of the Poltava region where Kremenchuk is. The head of Ukraine’s State Emergency Service, Sergiy Kruk, said on Telegram early on Tuesday that workers were still clearing debris from the site and extinguishing the remaining fires. “All response groups are working in intense mode,” Kruk said. “The work will go on around the clock.”
