Ukraine’s military claims it has killed over 500 Russian troops in the east and south over the last 24 hours. Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov issued a warning to Ukraine amid referendums in four occupied areas. According to a US official, Washington has privately warned Russia against using nuclear weapons for several months. Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov said that Russia should send the relatives of anti-mobilisation protesters to the front line. Kremlin-linked TV anchor Olga Skabeyeva has said that UK PM Liz Truss is risking nuclear annihilation by trying to defeat Russia. The UN has said that its investigators have found evidence of “war crimes” following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
