As Ukraine awaits deliveries of Western long-range artillery, Kyiv’s ground forces have turned to indigenous technology. As per reports, Ukrainian soldiers have made improvised artillery systems using 122MM MLRS and S-8 rocket launchers. Reports say the local-made artillery systems have been mounted on civilian vehicles and pickup trucks. Mounting a rocket launcher on a vehicle makes the system mobile and reduces the vulnerability to counterattacks.
