Early morning, November 26, 1941. The navy squadron leaving the rendezvous near the Kuril Islands has another 5,600 kilometers ahead of it. Its destination is the Hawaiian Islands. Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto, the commander of the Imperial Japanese fleet hopes to demoralize the United States by means of a crushing pre-emptive strike, and win the war within six months. It’s a military strategy unlike any before it.
