The US has confirmed that the Russia’s Moskva cruiser was hit by two Ukrainian missiles before it sank. Washington has backed Kyiv’s claims that Moskva was hit by Neptune missiles fired by Ukrainian forces off the coast of Odessa. However, Russia has said the Moskva sunk during a storm after a fire on board led to ammunition explosion. Some experts say Moskva’s loss is certainly a boost to Ukrainian morale and a symbolic blow to Putin’s invaders.
