Russia’s New BMP-2M “BEREZHOK” Makes Battlefield Debut
he BMP-2M features improved armor protection to enhance crew survivability on the battlefield. The vehicle’s armor is designed to withstand small arms fire, shell splinters, and certain types of improvised explosive devices (IEDs), providing better protection for the crew and infantry squad carried within.
Furthermore, the BMP-2M is equipped with advanced sighting and targeting systems, including thermal imaging cameras and day/night optics, which significantly improve its ability to detect and engage targets in all weather conditions and during day or night operations.
