Russia’s Kherson Deputy Head Dies Mysteriously Just Before Putin Withdraws Troops

Kirill Stremousov, a Russian-installed official in Kherson died in a car crash hours before Moscow ordered a troop withdrawal in the region. Moscow-installed officials said the crash happened on a road between Kherson city and Armyansk in Crimea. Kirill’s armoured car reportedly exploded on impact while trying to avoid a lorry driver who made “a dangerous manoeuvre.” Kirill has been posthumously awarded the Order of Courage by Russian President Vladimir Putin. He was prominent in organising and supporting the region’s annexation by Russia following a “referendum.” Stremousov was well known on social media for his anti-Ukraine rhetoric and his daily addresses about news from the frontline.
