Russian Official Hurt In Car Blast, Putin & Xi to Hold Talks, UK’s Long-Range Weapons For Ukraine?

Ukraine’s General Staff said its forces repelled Russian assaults on four settlements in the eastern Donetsk region. Kyiv claims that Russian attacks killed at least 3 civilians and injured 16 others in the Donetsk region on Dec. 12. Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping will reportedly hold talks in late December. The G7 has promised to “meet Ukraine’s urgent requirements” after Zelensky urged the group to maintain its support next year. In a video statement, Zelensky said the first step is a “new force,” and requested more military equipment from the G7. Zelensky also asked the G7 to commit to increasing gas the assistance to Ukraine. Zelensky said Ukraine would like to offer a peace solution, beginning with asking Russia to start withdrawing troops this Christmas. UK Defence Minister Ben Wallace said he is “open-minded” about supplying Ukraine with longer-range weapons. US officials said that Washington has shipped the first part of its power equipment aid to Ukraine. The EU has struck a deal with Hungary that sorts out 18 million dollars in financial aid for Ukraine in 2023. Ukraine’s Air Force says that Russia is launching Iranian drones from a new batch of supplies from the sea of Azov. Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov claims that Russia is systematically pushing the front line back to Ukrainian territory. Russia said that a MiG-31 fighter jet intercepted a Norwegian P-3C Orion reconnaissance plane over the Barents Sea.
