The UK govt has drawn flak for Foreign Office’s statement that it will take “weeks and months” to sanction Russian oligarchs. The UK is lagging behind the US and EU, having targeted just eight individuals with links to Russian President Vladmir Putin. The Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) has for days been promising to target a “hit list” of oligarchs.
