The latest multi-billion dollar drone deal between India and the United States has led to a lot of controversy. The opposition has raised questions on the deal, alleging that the government is procuring 31 MQ-9B drones for a higher price. Other reports suggest that India may clinch the drone deal at 27% less cost than other countries. But why are defence deals so controversial?
