Air raid alert was heard in most of Ukraine, including Kyiv, as monitoring groups report military jets taking off from an airfield in Belarus. Russian-installed officials in LPR claim the Ukrainian army is deploying additional forces to the cities of Kreminna and Svatove. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has echoed Dmitry Medvedev by alleging that the West is planning to assassinate Putin. Lavrov warned that the West’s political course is extremely dangerous and poses risks of direct armed clash between nuclear powers. The Russian FM said the US wants to get Ukraine integrated into NATO ‘by hook or by crook’.
