Russia Launches 400 Strikes, Luhansk’s Kreminna Shelled, Putin Aide Seeks Regime Change in Ukraine

Ukraine claims that Russian troops shelled three communities in the Sumy region, firing more than 50 mortars and shells. Ukraine said that Russian forces attacked settlements in Donetsk, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Mykolaiv Oblasts in the last 24 hours. Belarus has accused Ukrainian troops of illegally crossing the border and installing “something” in the snow. A report in the Wall Street Journal claims that Russia is likely to intensify attacks in eastern Ukraine. The WSJ report says Russia’s retreat from Kherson has freed around 20,000 troops to be redeployed to eastern Ukraine. The Ukrainian parliament’s commissioner for human rights rejected charges that Kyiv’s forces killed Russian POWs. Ukraine’s Attorney General, Andriy Kostin, said at least 8,300 civilians had been killed and more than 11,000 injured since the war started. Russian TV analyst, Zakhar Prilepin, claims that Moscow is not ready to launch new offensives in Ukraine. A Meduza report says several of Putin’s closest allies know Moscow has already lost “the real war” after their retreat from Kherson.
