Putin Sends Russian Bombers near Alaska; U.S. Scrambles F-16 Fighter Jets in Response

US Intercepted four Russian Bombers

The United States said it intercepted four Russian bombers as they flew over international airspace near Alaska. Following this, fighter jets from U.S were scrambled to intercept the jets. However, North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) called it a ‘routine’ incident and said that the jets did not enter American or Canadian sovereign airspace. North American security forces have been on high alert since a suspected Chinese SPY balloon crossed into U.S. airspace, prompting the United States to shoot it and other objects down as it combs the skies.
