NATO chief: Turkey’s concerns over Nordic expansion ‘legitimate’

NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg has said that Turkey’s security concerns over Swedish and Finnish NATO membership are legitimate. The two Nordic countries applied to join the alliance last month in light of Russia’s war on Ukraine. But Turkey’s President Reccip Tayep Erdogan has raised objections – accusing them of backing Kurdish opposition groups Ankara considers terrorists organisations.
