Inside Gaza: Thousands flee their homes as the IDF pushes in
International journalists are not permitted to enter Gaza at the moment – but today our foreign affairs correspondent Secunder Kermani was taken inside the Strip by the Israeli military.
During the short trip he was subject to reporting conditions imposed by the Israeli Defence Force, and was not free to newsgather beyond their jurisdiction.
In addition some of the footage in this report was subject to security review by the military. We decided to agree to these restrictions in order to be able to report on part of the Israeli operation inside the territory. And I must warn you, some of you will find some of the footage in Secunder’s report upsetting.
