Russian air defense units have reportedly received a new software that enables them to counter HIMARS MLRS missiles more precisely. The commander of a Russian air defence unit based in Russian-occupied Zaporizhzhia made the claim on December 2. The HIMARS system delivered by the US has proved to be a ‘game-changer’ for Ukraine in thwarting Russian aggression. Experts say that HIMARS multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) missiles have had the most significant impact on the Russia-Ukraine war. As a result of its success, the destruction of the M142 HIMARS has become a priority for the Russian armed forces.
