Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Monday urged EU leaders to reach a consensus on the next package of sanctions targeting Russia. “Internal disputes only lead to Russia increasing pressure on Europe,” Zelenskyy said in a video message at the beginning of an EU special summit in Brussels. “It is time for you to act not individually, but together,” Zelenskyy said. “Why do you depend on Russia and on Russian pressure, and why is it not the other way around?” The sixth sanctions package includes an embargo on Russian oil and has proven to be a sticking point among EU member states.
