Amid the war in Ukraine, the EU has been urged to introduce a travel ban on Russian tourists. In a recent interview, President Zelensky urged EU to “close the borders because the Russians are taking away someone else’s land”. However, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz opposed the idea of an EU-wide entry ban for Russians. The Ukrainian Defence Minister has claimed that the explosion at the air base was caused by a ‘cigarette’.
