Ukraine’s Armed Forces have appeared to reached the centre of the Kherson city after Russia’s withdrawal from the region. A member of the Kherson regional council said that almost all of the city is under the control of Ukrainian forces. Russia’s defence ministry claimed it has completed the withdrawal of troops from the western bank of the Dnipro River. Volodymyr Zelensky said that he does not believe in the prospect of peace negotiations with Russia. Ukraine’s Presidential Adviser Andriy Yermak said 45 Ukrainian soldiers have been freed in a prisoner exchange with Russia. The Antonovsky Bridge over the Dnipro river has collapsed, as per Ukraine’s public broadcaster.
