Xi Tests Anti-Ballistic Missile Interceptor
China claimed it successfully carried out a land-based, mid-course anti-ballistic missile (ABM) technical test on June 19. According to the Chinese Defence Ministry, the test is defensive in nature and is not aimed at any country. Analysts claim the successful interception proved the reliability of the country’s anti-ballistic missile umbrella.
