Japan is reportedly planning to deploy 1,000 long-range cruise missiles to boost its counterattack capability against China. Reports say the missiles will be modified from the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force’s (JGSDF) Type 12 subsonic anti-ship missiles. As per Japanese newspaper Yomiuri Shimbun, the missiles would be modified to extend their range from 100 kms to 1,000 kms.
