The Army formed the 3rd Battalion, 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment to study lessons from Ukraine and test drones, ground robots, and new tactics at the battalion level in January. Only months later, the unit is shedding its dedicated unmanned-assault mission and returning to conventional airborne infantry.
