What is the Marine Expeditionary Unit: Episode 3 – The Logisitics Combat Element
The logistics combat element of a Marine Expeditionary Unit provides all elements of the MEU with combat service support. It consists of a Headquarters Platoon, a Motor Transport Platoon, Engineer Platoon, Maintenance Platoon, Supply Platoon, Landing Support Platoon, Communications Platoon and its Health Service Support Platoon (Medical and Dental). Additionally, the LCE provides the MEU with ammunition, postal, EOD and disbursing services.
