June 20, 2023 Unipro2013main Future Military Weapons, Military Technology, Military Weapons, Russian Military </p> <h2>Russian hypersonic air-launched ballistic missile system.</h2> <p> The 9-A-7660 (or Kh-47M2, NATO reporting name Killjoy) better known under the name “Kinzhal”, is a Russian hypersonic air-launched ballistic missile system.<br /> The system includes the modified supersonic MiG-31K carrier aircraft and the 9-C-7760 missile, created on the basis of the Iskander (NATO: Stone) mobile short-range ballistic missile system.<br /> According to various sources, the missile after launch is capable of accelerating to speeds of more than M10 (10 speeds of sound).
