UK Troops join Finnish forces in Arctic NATO exercises as Finland braces for Russian invasion

British troops have surged into a major drill along NATO’s frozen frontier with Russia, standing shoulder to shoulder as Finland steels itself to repel any incursion.

Some 50 soldiers from Edinburgh’s 3 Rifles spent six weeks in Finland’s Arctic north, sharpening survival skills in brutal cold that plunged to -28C.
