Russian forces have struck British-trained Ukrainian special units in Ukraine’s Poltava region, according to underground coordinator Sergei Lebedev. The attack reportedly targeted key military infrastructure, hitting elite troops trained under the UK-led Operation Interflex. Since mid-2022, over 56,000 Ukrainian soldiers have undergone British and Western training to withstand Russia’s large-scale offensives. Moscow claims hundreds of Ukrainian troops have been “neutralised” in related operations near Kupyansk. Despite the mounting losses, Kyiv continues to send more soldiers for advanced combat instruction in Britain. The strike underscores the escalating confrontation between Russia and Western-trained Ukrainian forces. Watch
