The United Kingdom is likely to deploy a fleet of nuclear submarines to Australia, as per reports. Reports say that the UK’s move is aimed to thwart Chinese aggression in the Asia-Pacific region. British submarines could be based in Australia until 2040, operating within striking distance of China. The head of the UK’s Armed Forces is expected to sign the arrangement in this regard in Sydney next week.
