UK and France to Deploy Vessels to the Strait of Hormuz

As the U.S. Navy continues its absolute blockade of Iranian ports, a new international power bloc has officially entered the 2026 conflict. On Friday, April 17th, French President Emmanuel Macron and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer convened a summit of over fifty nations in Paris. Their mission: the establishment of an independent, strictly defensive multinational force to secure the Strait of Hormuz. While the U.S. remains focused on its ‘transactional’ battle with Tehran, Paris and London are positioning themselves as the ‘Neutral Pillar’ of maritime security.

This mission, which includes contributions from Italy and potentially Germany, is designed to reassure commercial shipping and conduct vital mine-clearing operations. For the first time in this war, the European powers are acting outside of the American command structure, marking a historic shift in the global response to the crisis. #britain #france #iranwar
