At the end of August 2025 it was announced that Norway had decided to select British warships for their Armed Forces to replace four ageing Fridtjof Nansen-class frigates. Hailed as the UK’s biggest-ever warship export deal with a value of £10 billion, the country will supply Norway with Type 26 frigates designed for anti-submarine warfare.
