This video tells the true story of the Heavy Water Sabotage mission during World War II, carried out to stop the German nuclear weapons program.
Norwegian and British paratroopers were parachuted into the snow covered mountains of Norway to destroy the German controlled Vemork factory, the only facility in the world producing heavy water, a key ingredient for the German atomic bomb. The factory was heavily guarded, and the operation did not go as planned.
