Since the creation of the Stahlhelm by Germany during The First World War the design has spread across the globe by way of export, direct copies, variants, updated versions and the general design of the helmet which can still be seen with many helmets to this day. However though some variants are less common than others one that tops the chart is the M27 Vickers Helmet, a version replicated for the Irish Army in the late 1920s. Though the endeavor was well intended the outcome was much less than causing assorted problems, issues, controversies, and stories which lasted for decades.
