Popping the A2/AD Bubble
As of April 2, 2026, the ‘Sync’ is complete. Following the disabling of the Iranian drone carrier Shahid Bagheri, President Trump has reportedly given the ‘Execute’ order for the initial phase of the Kharg Island seizure. The ‘First 24 Hours’ of the invasion are designed to ‘Blind and Bind’ the IRGC. While the USS Tripoli remains offshore, its F-35B Lightning IIs are conducting ‘Dead-Stick’ SEAD missions, using advanced electronic warfare to suppress the remaining S-300 batteries on the mainland. #news #iranisraelwar #iranvsisrael
Simultaneously, Navy SEALs and Marine Raiders have begun ‘Quiet Entry’ operations on the southern tip of the island, cutting the undersea fiber-optic cables that link Kharg’s sensors to the mainland command. This is the ‘Silent Opening’—a high-stakes gamble to drop the island’s ‘Rain of Fire’ defense before the main force arrives.
The “Vertical Vertical” Drop
Phase Two begins at 0400 hours with the 82nd Airborne’s ‘Vertical Vertical’ assault. Thousands of paratroopers from the 1st Brigade Combat Team are scheduled to drop directly onto the Kharg Island airfield. Their mission is a ‘Cold Seizure’—taking the runway in under 60 minutes to establish a ‘Combat Airbridge’ for heavy M1 Abrams tanks. However, the risk remains ‘Extreme.’ Even with the Shahid Bagheri out of the fight, Iran’s ‘Ghost’ shore batteries remain a threat.
The 31st MEU will provide the ‘Amphibious Hammer,’ hitting the northern docks with LCACs (Hovercraft) to draw fire away from the paratroopers. This is the most complex joint operation of the 21st century. If the airfield falls, the ‘Final Blow’ is inevitable. If it holds, the 7,000 U.S. troops will find themselves in a 16-mile-long ‘Kill Zone’ with nowhere to run.
