Speaking on the Senate floor, Blumenthal says, “Putin is watching from Moscow” as lawmakers move forward with sanctions targeting Russia, its shadow fleet and major purchasers of Russian crude oil and natural gas.
Blumenthal says the measure is designed to restrict resources flowing to the Kremlin, punish those helping Russia evade sanctions and increase pressure on countries purchasing Russian energy.
