Poland Cuts Off China–Europe Rail Express, China’s New Strategic Corridor to Replace Poland’s Status

This is a major railway line running from China all the way to Poland in Europe, traversing 25 countries and passing through 227 cities of all sizes.

To date, over 110,000 trains have passed through this route, continuously transporting countless Chinese-made products to European markets, while also transporting a large amount of European goods back to China and other Asian countries. The total value of goods transported has exceeded $450 billion.

But now, Poland has suddenly closed all border crossings with Belarus. This decision has left over 300 trains and tens of thousands of containers stuck at the border, preventing billions of dollars worth of goods from being delivered on time. This effectively severed this vital economic lifeline between China and Europe overnight.

Faced with this sudden situation, China quickly launched a new backup route. If this new route operates stably, it may even completely replace Poland’s key position in the China-Europe freight train system in the future.

Why did Poland suddenly close this route?

And what is China’s new backup route?
