A new war is exploding in the Middle East, and this time Saudi Arabia is turning to Israel for help. Meira K breaks down how Iran is using the Houthis to attack Saudi Arabia, threaten the Bab al-Mandab shipping chokepoint and put enormous pressure on the kingdom without fighting it directly. Viewers will learn how the centuries-old Sunni-Shia rivalry is fueling today’s confrontation and why Saudi Arabia’s new defense partnerships have failed to stop the threat. Most surprisingly, the crisis is now pushing Saudi Arabia toward behind-the-scenes cooperation with Israel…potentially reshaping alliances across the Middle East.
