The Bosnian war ended in the 1990s with a peace accord that cemented Bosnia’s ethnic groups. The peace accord was fundamentally flawed and is now brewing new tensions, as the leader of the Majority-Serbian republic Republika Srpska is threatening to secede from Bosnia to join Serbia.
