At the center of Russia’s automated push is the Impuls GRS, a modular, multi-purpose ground robotic system built on a heavy-duty tracked chassis. Designed to operate in high-risk zones, the base platform boasts massive physical power, capable of hauling a one-ton payload or towing a three-ton artillery piece across jagged, muddy terrain. To beat intense Electronic Warfare jamming, the Impuls utilizes a hybrid control layout—switching seamlessly between radio links, aerial drone signal repeaters that push its combat range to 11 kilometers, or un-jammable fiber-optic tethers. Crucially, the Impuls features an autonomous operating mode. Operators can plot a designated path on an electronic map, allowing the robot to execute logistics or reconnaissance loops without requiring constant manual guidance. This automation keeps human soldiers completely isolated from the immediate frontline danger zone. #robot #roboticwarfare #russia
