Description: In the intense environment of the Persian Gulf, a new kind of weapon is operating in total silence. This is the O-D-I-N, or Optical Dazzling Interdictor Navy. Unlike traditional missiles, O-D-I-N is a ‘Soft-Kill’ laser system designed to blind the optical sensors of enemy drones and scouting aircraft. By focusing a precise beam of light, it effectively ‘dazzles’ the target, making it impossible for the enemy to gather intelligence or provide targeting data for anti-ship missiles. Already deployed on frontline destroyers like the U-S-S Stockdale, this tech allows the Navy to neutralize threats without firing a single kinetic round, conserving expensive ammunition for higher-stakes engagements while maintaining a constant, unblinking defensive perimeter.
