We continue our story covering the infamous Nazi leader Hermann Göring in his career of WWI fighter ace. After becoming a squadron (Jagdstaffel) commander, Göring continues to achieve aerial victories in WWI, now flying Albatros D.V. In spring 1918, he would exchange it for the most famous WWI fighter aircraft – the Fokker Dr.I Triplane! But this aircraft was a handful to fly which Göring realized when he flew it into a hangar!
He spent his final months of the War flying one of the best WWI fighters – Fokker D.VII, and on top of that, succeeding the famous Red Baron in his position of Jagdgeschwader I commander!
What was Göring’s total score? How does he compare to other German aces? Did he achieve any victories with the Fokker Triplane? And how many of his claims are credible? Find the answer to all these questions in the video.
