Spent part of the day yesterday marooned at the abandoned Air Force base, Bluie East 2 outside of Kulusuk, East #Greenland. It was used to transport supplies to Europe during WWII… and after the war, the Americans just left it – including over a million barrels of fuel, many many trucks, a depot, a hangar, etc… is cool to see and experience (especially as it is VERY dangerous to get to and no one has landed here in years. Many who have tried, crashed. Thank fully the #SouthAfrican bush pilot John made it in and out in the old Beech plane, but we were worried for a minute). It’s also quite sad when you think of the environmental damage. #Denmark just agreed two days ago to clean it up and has given
