Russia Victory Day Parade:North Korean servicemen marched alongside Russian troops during Russia’s 2026 Victory Day Parade in Moscow, marking one of the first known appearances of DPRK soldiers in the annual Red Square celebrations.
Video from the event showed DPRK troops marching in formation while North Korean officials watched from the stands during ceremonies commemorating the 81st anniversary of the Soviet victory over Nazi Germany in World War II.
The participation comes amid growing military and political cooperation between Moscow and Pyongyang following the strategic partnership agreement signed by Russia and North Korea in recent years. Reports from multiple international outlets noted the presence of North Korean troops at the scaled-back 2026 Victory Day parade.
Russia’s 2026 parade was held under heightened security and featured fewer military vehicles than previous years due to concerns linked to the ongoing war in Ukraine.
