Changing the Guard at Buckingham Palace, London on Friday 19th September 2025 with the Band of the Grenadier Guards and for the first time, a special appearance from an American military band, the United States Army Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps. Their appearance was part of events to mark the State Visit of the 47th American President to the United Kingdom.

This was the first time an American military band has taken part in the ceremony in London. They recently took part in The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo in August 2025 and returned from Washington DC to take part in events for the American State Visit.
The Band of the Grenadier Guards was under the direction of their Director of Music Captain Porter and led by Senior Drum Major Household Division WO2 Fairley. Sgt. The United States Army Old Guard Fifes and Drums were under the direction of Drum Major 1st Class Barret Newman. The American contingent were escorted by Household Division Bands Regimental Sergeant Major WO1 Scott.
