Russian military sources have released footage of captured Ukrainian servicemen near Krasnoarmeysk and Pokrovsk, in eastern Ukraine, describing severe shortages, abandonment and breakdowns in command on the frontline. Two soldiers detained during house-to-house operations accused their commanders of leaving them without evacuation, food, water or ammunition, forcing them to survive on rainwater while under heavy shelling. In a separate interview, captured soldier Alexander Sidelnik claimed wounded troops were left without medical support and that he was declared fit for combat despite suffering multiple serious injuries. The accounts, which could not be independently verified, offer a rare but contested glimpse into conditions facing Ukrainian units under pressure along one of the war’s most heavily contested frontlines.
