US Military #News – The era of small crisis-response forces is over. In the biggest overhaul of its deterrence strategy since the Cold War, NATO has created its new War Machine: the NATO Force Model. This is a complete structural shift, increasing the Alliance’s high-readiness troops almost eightfold.
The key figure is 300,000. This is the pool of forces #NATO now assigns to a high-readiness status. But mobilization is tiered. These troops are pre-assigned to specific regional defense plans, eliminating the time wasted on political approval in a crisis.
Our focus is the 30-day window. The force model ensures that up to 200,000 troops fall into the Tier Two category, ready to deploy in 10 to 30 days. This surge capacity forms the backbone of NATO’s collective defense strategy, creating a massive, combat-ready follow-on force. #military
