How do Marines actually storm a beach in 2025? It isn’t waves of Devil Dogs charging headlong out of the sea into enemy fire anymore. Today they use drones, long-range missiles, and small units landing quietly, striking hard, and moving on fast. In this video, we break down how Marines have evolved their amphibious operations from the very first beach landing in 1776 to today with an eye on the Indo-Pacific. By looking at the history of amphibious operations, Force Design 2030, and EABO, we get a good idea of what a modern-day amphibious assault might look like and why you still don’t want to get in their way.

Happy Birthday, Marines. Please see your platoon sergeant for your safety brief.
