Ukraine’s General Staff claims Russian forces are strengthening their positions on the Dnipro river’s east bank in Kherson. As per UK’s Defence Ministry, Russian troops have “destroyed multiple bridges and likely laid mines” to delay the advance of Ukrainian forces. The secretary of the United Russia party’s General Council, Andrey Turchak, came under Ukrainian fire near Lysychansk. The US has announced a new $400 million security aid package to Ukraine. Meanwhile, a Bloomberg report claims Russia is covertly checking its bomb shelters after over 3 decades of neglect following the end of the Cold war. Putin reportedly wants to “self-isolate” and move to an official residence equipped with a bunker in the new year due to health issues.
